The Arabic quarter

Today I went to the Indian and Arabic neighborhoods of Singapore. I really enjoyed walking in the small streets with different color houses. This area reflects the multicultural aspect of Singapore.

When I saw this fruit I immediately wanted to taste it. But I was a bit disappointed. It doesn't have much taste.

Singapore is filled with shopping malls and food courts. I've never seen that many in my life.

Two Indian men were trying to attract tourists with a python: "5S$ to hold the albino snake!"

A group of Australians wearing shorts and flip flops arrived and all wanted to take pictures with it.

Spring rolls!

Today for lunch, I went to a Vietnamese restaurant called Indochine and had the best spring rolls I have ever eaten.

A gecko at my window

I made a new friend today: a small green gecko attached to my window. He wouldn't leave. I attempted to take a picture of him with my really bad camera.

Abba...Chinese style!

On my first day in Singapore, I went to the botanical garden to watch a Chinese orchestra perform. They played abba songs with Chinese instruments. The conductor was dancing around. Very entertaining!

Apparently, there are a lot of free concerts in this garden so I'll definitely be going there a lot.

From Danmark to Singapore = climate chock

I just arrived in Singapore and it is so warm and humid. It's going to take some getting used to.

I am glad there is a swimming pool and air conditioning where I am staying:)
