Emerald Hill

Singapore is very surprising. I was walking on Orchard road, which is a very modern street with lots of tall buildings and shopping malls and suddenly I came across Emerald Hill, a very charming street with old houses.

I learned later that Emerald hill is renowned for its houses of "Chinese Baroque"architecture , which is a blend of Chinese and neoclassical European designs.
